Audio Files on Biblical Counseling by Brad Hambrick

It is a joy to get to participate in the life of local churches through preaching and teaching.  As a counselor with a heart for the church, I realize the importance of these times of public exhortation and encouragement.

The lifeblood of the church is the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.  As Romans 10:14 asks, “How are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?”

Too often there is a false dichotomy created between expository preaching and practical preaching.  Crossroads is committed to sound, historical, and theological examination of Bible passages.  At the same time, our daily work forces us to answer the most concrete of life questions in the grittiest of contexts.

We are committed in our preaching to bring Hebrews 4:12 to life, “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart,” in the imaginations of the congregation.
