Brad grew up on a corn and soybean row-cropping farm in rural Western Kentucky. He is now Pastor of Counseling at The Summit Church in Raleigh, NC (www.summitrdu.com), Adjunt Professor of Biblical Counseling at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (www.sebts.edu), and Chief Editor for The Journal of Counseling & Discipleship: a publication of the Association of Biblical Counselors (www.chrsitiancounseling.com).
For undergraduate studies, Brad attended Union University (Jackson, TN; www.uu.edu) where he double majored in Psychology and Christian Ministry. His theological education comes from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC (www.sebts.edu).

He has been married to his wonderful wife Sallie since November 1999 and has two wonderful boys: Lawson and Marshall. For recreation he enjoys sports of all kinds (real and fantasy), fishing, reading, and time away with his family.
Brad has served in local churches for eight years, three summers as a staff/director for Crosspoint Christian Sports Camps, and eight more years in Augusta, GA as Executive Director of Crossroads Counseling before returning to the Raleigh/Durham area.
At The Summit Brad’s responsibilities include: counseling, training small group leaders and other church members for “one another” ministry, working with other church staff to enhance existing ministries, overseeing seminary counseling students in practicum courses, using seminars to minister to the church and evangelistically reach out to the community, and work with the church’s international missionaries to care for them and equip them for pastoral care needs on the mission field.
